Dorothy Barton

I came to art later in life after a scientific career and found painting a very absorbing hobby. I wanted to learn more so for a number of years used adult education classes and workshops to learn the techniques of drawing and painting in order to improve my skills.

In 2018 I successfully completed a foundation art course with Trevor Waugh and continue to work him in watercolours and oils.

I enjoy painting still life, landscapes seascapes and portraits in a realistic style looking for light and contrast.

My paintings can be seen in local exhibitions and online.
