When we artists put a painting on a wall at an exhibition, we bare our souls. At that time, everyone becomes a critic". Sidney Hermel
Simply The Best!
Our best that is! Thank you all for coming to our exhibition last weekend - July 2024. We definitely consider it to be the very best we have ever held. The standard of work was superb, the range of styles was fantastic, the compliments were enough to make us blush with pleasure, and the number of visitors was really encouraging. In addition it was our highest ever weekend for sales of framed art. As It says - 'Simply The Best' and we are so very grateful to everyone that came to support us.
Support as artists is something we really appreciate as it spurs us on to keep getting our paints & brushes out, making a few initial sketches on paper and getting creative. And the joy we derive from a few kind words about what we achieve is priceless. So, whether you came to just look & not buy (which many people do), that's fine. We just love talking about our art to you and if you end up buying when you hadn't planned to do so because you happen to see a lovely reminder painting or something you just can't resist, that's just absolutely fine with us too!!
THANK YOU So Much!

Plus......
We exhibit regularly in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. The most recent of these is in the New Leaf Cafe, at Trowbridge Garden Centre, 288 Frome Road, Trowbridge, BA14 0DT . This began in October 2023 to coincide with the opening of the new café. 20% of the sale price of each picture is donated to the Dorothy House Charity. The food is delicious - to name but a few Sunday Roasts, lunches, snacks, fab cakes and ice cream sundaes...
Here are a few images from the showing at present. We aim to change these every few months and have been fortunate to sell a number of pieces of artwork since starting in November 2023.

Some members of St Mary's Art Group exhibited their paintings on Saturday 24th July 2022 at Holy Trinity Church, Bradford-On-Avon. However in 2023, the Lions Club of Bradford-On-Avon decided to no longer have an exhibition but instead to make the event one for stall holders so a few members had stalls to sell their paintings, prints and cards.
