I enjoy painting in an intuitive, abstract style, starting out with a reference photo or idea but allowing intuition and the flow of the paint to guide me.  Sometimes this just creates a great big mess but I still have fun getting there. My most remarked on pieces have been semi-abstract landscape watercolour and abstract mixed media florals. I have been told that watercolour is a difficult medium and I have to agree that this is true, however when it works it is special.
